- Yes, please bring valid photo ID for registration check in. Please also have your BIB ID from the Strictly Running email.
- How do I get my T-Shirt that I receive for registering.
- If you are attending in person, you will receive your T-shirt and Race Bib at the event during check in. Proper ID is required.
- I am a Virtual Runner – will my gear be shipped?
- If you chose ‘shipped’ as the option, then yes, please email us at shawn@penniesfortaylor.com and provide your address or to inquire about delivery. Most have been shipped. If you have not given us your address, we have not shipped it 🙂
- If you chose ‘pick up’, you can pick up the shirts at the event on July 6th, 2019. If you need special arrangements for before or after, please email us at shawn@penniesfortaylor.com.
- Are there facilities for me to change into my T-Shirt?
- Yes, there are restrooms by the tennis courts that will be for our use during the event.
- What if I can’t walk the entire 5K?
- No problem at ALL! We will have a few ‘short cuts’ for anyone who wants to participate but not do the entire 3.1 miles. No problem! We will also have a golf cart available for anyone who is just too tired to make it back – no problem there either!!!
- Can I exchange my shirt size?
- Taylor’s 5K is in high demand! That means that our quantities are nearly all taken. Therefore, we can’t offer exchanges for different sizes.
- Can anyone attend to watch?
- For safety and insurance reasons, all attendees must register, either via the website or in person on July 6th, 2019. All attendees must check in with valid photo id, wear the race bib, etc… even if you are not running the race.
- I registered as a Virtual Runner.. can I still attend and run the race?
- Absolutely! All other rules apply (ID, Bib, etc) but YES! The only catch is that you cannot be timed by our timing system.
- Do I have to wear the race bib?
- Yes, all attendees must wear the official race bib. In order to get a race bib, you must check in. The registration # must be visible and be on the front of the torso (chest/abdomen area).
- Do I have to walk/run the track?
- We encourage everyone to participate but NO, you can just come and hang out and celebrate with us… so long as you are registered, wearing your race Bib, etc (see above).
- Will you take credit cards for merchandise?
- Yes, we will take CC’s and cash the day of the event. The store on the website takes CC’s and paypal.
- Will you have food/drinks?
- A light snack will be provided at the end of the race… most likely snack bars, bananas, and the like.
- Will there be water stations?
- We will have water stations at the start/finish line, and at the half way point! You can fill up your water bottle at either one or use one of our disposable cups.
- Will I be photographed?
- Yes, we will have a photographer taking photos throughout the race. We will also have designated time for any registered attendees to have their photo taken with Taylor. These photos will be made available online some time after the event, for no charge.
- Can I bring my own food/snacks?
- Yes, absolutely.
- Can I bring alcohol?
- No.
- Can I bring a pet?
- Our insurance policy does not cover pets, so unfortunately, not even Shyla will be attending. Please leave your pets at home this year, we are going to try to have this be an option for next year.
- Can I bring a guest?
- If your guest registered already, or intends to register, with proper ID, absolutely! Otherwise, spectator guests are not permitted. If someone wants to just watch, they still need to register, check-in, etc..
- Will there be music?
- Yes, we have a volunteer DJ who will be playing popular pop and country music throughout the day!
- I run and will be done early. Will there be anything for me to do before the awards ceremony?
- We will have two sets of corn-hole boards to help pass the time.
- What type of conduct is expected?
- We are celebrating 1 year of Taylor’s recovery. I think it’s safe to say I don’t expect any challenges at all, but this is a zero tolerance environment… meaning, if anyone acts inappropriately, they will be asked to leave. Shawn (Taylor’s Dad) will interpret what ‘inappropriately’ means. Let’s all just have a great time!!!!!
- I have other questions… what do I do?
